Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American television series that follows the life of Buffy Anne Summers, the latest in a line of young women chosen to battle against vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness. Like previous slayers Buffy is aided by her Watcher, but unlike her predecessors, she also surrounds herself by a circle of friends who join her cause (and eventually dub themselves the "Scooby Gang").
